Right now I'm using the latest VirtualBox 5.2. We are going to make a connection to the VBoxSvrWin11Documents and assign the drive letter H: to it. ![]() So if you called your share Rambo, then the path reads \\vboxsvr\Rambo. share-name is the actual folder name from earlier. \\vboxsvr is the VirtualBox sharing server. Since the last two/three Virtual Box build I cannot use it anymore on VM to reference a shared folder as \\vboxsvr.Īt first I thought on a FC problem because I updated it from build 740 to 760 but today I was wrking on an old Win7 vm with build 740 and it's not working! \\vboxsvr\share-name is the path to the share. For more convenience, right click the shared folder and in the context menu, select Map network drive to mount. ![]() ![]() Open File Explorer, in the Network section select VBOXSVR, after which you can see the recently created shared folder whose network path is \\VBOXSVR\sharedfolder01. I do heavily use FreeCommander almost everywhere, I use it portable. Power on the VM on which Windows Server 2019 has been installed.
